Manufacturing and Project Management
Our design services are just the beginning of a successful display program. Bringing the design into the real world through custom display manufacturing is a service that is invaluable to our clients. We partner only with a very few outstanding display manufacturers who have proven themselves to have the same level of excellence in service and product delivery as we require at PopDesigner.
Prototypes
Once a display is designed and the concept has taken the form of a rendering and CAD drawings, the next step is in producing a prototype. The prototype phase is critical to finalizing the design and functionality of the display. Fortunately, when working with PopDesigner, you will already have a working model that is scaled to fit your products and packaging exactly. Those CAD drawings are sent to the manufacturer and the engineers are ready to program the CNC machines to be able to produce the parts for you. Lead times vary depending on the work load, but typically a prototype can be delivered within 1-2 weeks. Once you receive the prototype, you can load it with product and we are able to make any last minute adjustments based on your feedback. We are able to go on site at the manufacturing floor to observe and photograph your prototype to make sure everything is exactly as specified by the drawings before it ships.
Production and Project Management
After the prototype has been approved by you and you are ready to move into production, we have everything in place to begin the project. A typical lead time for the delivery of your displays is 6-8 weeks from the date of your PO. Our manufacturers accept varying terms of payment, depending on your company's credit history. We stay in contact on a daily basis with our manufacturing team. We are notified as materials are ordered and schedules are updated. We are pro-active in staying current with exactly where your project is at any given time. We study the shop schedules and make suggestions to our team to ensure that your project is taken care of as promised. Most of our displays are manufactured as kd (knock down) construction. This allows for flat packaging and efficient shipping. We send all of our displays with easy to understand assembly instructions and most displays go together very easily. We have engineers available by phone throughout the work week to answer any questions your customers might have about set up, or if they are missing a component we will overnight it at our expense. Obviously this is very rare, but we are determined to react immediately to keep your customers happy.
Fulfillment Services
Most of our clients cannot afford to take delivery of their displays to distribute themselves, so we offer drop shipping at a very reasonable rate ($6.00 per carton). All you have to do is send us the addresses the day before you want them shipped and they will be on the dock that next day for shipment. This way, you can easily coordinate the shipment of your products so that the display arrives at the store on the same day. We offer warehousing to our clients. The first 60 days is free and after that it is based on a per pallet price per month ($5.00 per pallet). Most displays can load 15-20 displays on a pallet. We also offer inventory management. You can call us at any time and we can tell you how many units you have in stock. You can ask us to alert you when your stock gets to a certain level, so as to always keep your displays in stock. As you can see, throughout the entire process, all you have to do is make one phone call to PopDesigner and we can take care of your needs with information or immediate action.
